App Features, Customization, and Troubleshooting
This section covers how to use Spatial Player Pro's advanced features, configure branding and white-label settings, and solve common issues.
7. App Features and Usage
7.1 Starting the Showroom
- Open Spatial Player Pro from Home View.
- Tap Start Showroom on the main screen.
- Your branded 360° environment loads. Your video library appears as floating cards in the space.
- If Kiosk Mode is enabled, the visionOS system UI (Digital Crown menu, status bar) is hidden. The viewer is fully inside your experience.
7.2 Video Playback
- Starting a video: Gaze at a video card, then pinch to play.
- Playback controls: Look towards the bottom of the viewport — the control bar fades in. Includes play/pause, scrub bar, and volume.
- 360° panning: Physically turn your head to look around the 360° environment.
- Spatial depth: For MV-HEVC spatial video, full stereoscopic depth is rendered automatically by visionOS.
- Looping: Enable or disable loop playback in Settings → Playback.
- Auto-advance: The app can automatically play the next video in the playlist after the current one ends.
7.3 Controlling Orientation with Digital Crown
During 360° video playback, the Digital Crown acts as an orientation reset:
- Rotate clockwise: Rotates the virtual environment clockwise (re-centres to the right).
- Rotate counter-clockwise: Rotates the virtual environment counter-clockwise.
- Press Digital Crown: Returns to the app's home screen (only available when Kiosk Mode is off).
This is especially useful when handing the headset to a new viewer — rotate the crown to ensure they're looking in the intended direction before they look around.
7.4 Guest Mode for Presentations
Guest Mode is the core feature that makes Spatial Player Pro suitable for client presentations and trade shows. When enabled:
- The visionOS Home View is inaccessible.
- The Digital Crown does not exit the app.
- System notifications are suppressed.
- Only the videos you have loaded are visible to the viewer.
To enable Guest Mode: Settings → Presentation → Enable Guest Mode. Set a 4-digit admin PIN to exit Guest Mode later.
To exit Guest Mode: Perform the admin gesture (pinch all five fingers together and hold for 3 seconds), then enter your PIN.
8. White-Label and Branding Options
8.1 Customising Backgrounds and Icons for Branding
Skybox (360° environment background):
- Go to Settings → Branding → Background.
- Tap Choose Skybox and navigate to your equirectangular JPEG/PNG file.
- The environment updates immediately. Tap Preview to see it in the headset.
Logo:
- Settings → Branding → Logo.
- Upload a PNG with a transparent background, minimum 512×512 px.
- Position and scale the logo within the environment using the placement handles.
Colours:
- Primary colour — used for UI accents, buttons, and highlights.
- Secondary colour — used for secondary text and background elements.
- Both accept hex values or the system colour picker.
Custom icons:
- Replace the default play, pause, and navigation icons with your own 256×256 px PNGs.
- Settings → Branding → Icons.
8.2 White-Label Solutions for Agencies and Businesses
The white-label option allows agencies and resellers to:
- Deploy Spatial Player Pro fully branded as the client's own app (including client logo, colours, and custom skybox).
- Provide clients with a ready-to-use Apple Vision Pro presentation kit.
- Manage multiple client configurations from a single agency account.
White-label agreements are handled on a per-project or retainer basis. Contact us at info@threesixty.at to discuss your project.
9. Troubleshooting and FAQs
9.1 Common Issues and Solutions
Video doesn't appear in the library
- Verify the file format is supported (see section 3.1).
- Check the file is fully synced to iCloud Drive — a cloud icon with a progress indicator means it's still downloading.
- Ensure the file is in a sub-folder of your designated content folder (not the root).
- Restart the app and refresh the library.
Video plays with no spatial depth
- The file must be encoded in MV-HEVC for full spatial depth. See section 3.2 for encoding instructions.
- H.264 and standard H.265 files play as flat (monoscopic) video.
Kiosk Mode cannot be exited
- Use the admin gesture: pinch all five fingers together and hold for 3 seconds.
- If you have forgotten your PIN, contact info@threesixty.at with your App Store purchase receipt for a PIN reset.
App crashes on launch
- Ensure you are running visionOS 2.0 or later.
- Delete and reinstall the app from the App Store.
- If the issue persists, contact support with your visionOS version and a description of the crash.
Subscription not activating
- Open Settings on Apple Vision Pro → Apple ID → Subscriptions and confirm the subscription is active.
- In Spatial Player Pro, go to Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases.
- If still not resolved, contact Apple Support for billing issues.
